Oathsworn Abacus - Misses and Criticals Counter

A simple Abacus to count the misses and criticals cards remaining in the deck for Oathsworn: Into the Deepwood.

After yet another betrayal by the untrusty dice during our Deepwood adventure , we decided to turn to the cards. The rules of the game allow you to reshuffle the Might deck to reset miss and criticals stats (with each player's base card 0), but with no way of tracking where misses and criticals stand, it's pretty hard to build a strategy around it.

This abacus helps make that easier.

Each card color has its own beads. Each has 6 misses and 3 criticals. That's all there is to it!

You can use this great Dice Chart from Bigtex01 to complement this Abacus and improve your strategy and risk-taking.

Note : The model is “small” because I prefer a compact abacus, but you can print it as large as you like. The larger the size, the easier it will be to read the decorations (unless you have a particularly precise printer).

For those of you with a less accurate printer, or who simply don't want the symbols and logo, I've added a version of the main frame without any decorations.

PRINT INSTRUCTIONS :

• Print in default orientation, with no supports.

• Print :
• 1X “Oathsworn Abacus Boulier 1A - Main Frame - With Signs” OR “Oathsworn Abacus Boulier 1B - Main Frame - No Signs”

• 4X "Oathsworn Abacus Boulier 2 - Bar"

• 36X "Oathsworn Abacus Boulier 3 - Bead" OR 9X each color (White, Yellow, Red, Black)

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS :

• Paints or print the beads in their respective colors.

• Check the direction of the bars before inserting them into the corresponding openings: insert the bars from the side with a square hole on it. Each time the bar passes through a hole, insert the corresponding beads to seal them permanently inside. It takes a little gymnastics, but it's not difficult to do.

• Next, glue the bar with the main frame. There's no need for a lot of glue, just a spot of glue at the end of the bar to seal it in.

A few statistics for your information :

There are 72 might cards for the players and 72 might cards for the ennemies.
In these 72, each color has 18 cards: 6 misses , 3 criticals and 9 intermediate values .

This model is heavely based on the great Abacus by Ross3D .
