What I collect

LayerUp Games does not require an account to use. When you submit or request an STL, I collect only what you choose to provide: your name or handle and any notes you include. Aside from the anonymized analytics described below, I don't automatically collect personal information.

If you choose to create an account, I collect your email address (from you directly, or from Google if you sign in with Google) and use it only for login and account emails such as confirmation and password reset. Your email is never displayed publicly, never shared with other users, and never sold. Optional profile details you add (display name, bio, repository usernames) are shown publicly only if you opt in to a public profile.

Cookies

LayerUp Games uses a session cookie to maintain basic site functionality, plus Microsoft Clarity analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. See Analytics below.

Analytics

LayerUp Games uses Microsoft Clarity to understand how people use the site through anonymized usage metrics, heatmaps, and session replays. Clarity captures data such as pages viewed, clicks, scrolls, and general device and browser information; it masks the text you type, and this data is not sold. As a Microsoft product, your use is subject to Microsoft's privacy practices. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Print photos

Signed-in makers can upload photos of their 3D prints. Uploaded photos are public once published. Before publishing, every photo is re-encoded on the server (which removes hidden metadata such as GPS location) and automatically screened by Azure AI Content Safety; flagged photos are held for human review. Photos are stored on Microsoft Azure. You can delete your own photos at any time from the print's page, which also removes them from storage.

Third party links

LayerUp Games links to external platforms including Printables, Makerworld, Thingiverse, and Cults3D. LayerUp Games is not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.
