Letters from Whitechapel board game insert and organizer
Please support nielsvm by Liking/Boosting their Print on Printables.
Letters from Whitechapel is one of my favorite hidden movement board games, but re-reading the rules and setup can take its time. As I couldn't find a single organizer online, I designed this to play the game more frequently and let you benefit from it too.
Design assumptions:
• Your box interior measures 285mm x 285mm.
• Your edition has wooden pawns/tokens and plastic markers, as on the photos.
• This is for the standard game (although extra items fit easily vertically).
• You don't mind burning through 493 grams of filament (~10€).
Features:
• Replaces the original plastic insert, takes up the entire box.
• Easy four-part 0.2mm print, no supports, in total roughly 11-14hrs of printing.
• The bottom has big rounded corners, to help avoid warping and save a few grams.
• The upper two parts (A and B) are “Jack's Tray” and the “Police Tray”, these two are meant to be pulled out and put on the table during gameplay.
• The lower two parts (C and D) stay in the box during gameplay. If desired, these two can be glued together along diagonal the Y-seam between “Track Sheets”.
• Cutout for a pencil. To match the Jack the Ripper theme, get a beautiful fountain pen !
• The four parts are intentionally weirdly puzzle shaped, for easy assembly/memorization.
• Every item has a fixed/labeled place, so keeping things organized during gameplay, means you get very fast setup/cleanup of games.
• The reference cards, rulebook and board go on top of the insert.
Happy printing and gameplay.
