Takenoko Insert

Complete overhaul of the storage of the equipment of the game Takenoko and its Chibis expansion. Everything is adjusted to be put in the box of the original game.

I also added a few things to make the gameplay easier. There are mainly 3 parts that you can take out of the box so you don't need to keep it next to it during the game.
- A large storage compartment containing all the game materials needed during the game (it was printed in 2 parts that can then be glued for example). There are objective cards, irrigations, bamboo and various tokens.
- Storage for plots
- Storage for plot supports
The irrigations have been redone so that they are more visible and they can be clipped onto the plot supports for better maintenance.
For the cardboard boards of the game that allow you to position the personal equipment during the game, I designed a "locker" that encompasses it by adding dividers between each graphic element as well as a support for the objective cards that clips onto this board. I also added a "cursor" of points on which you can position a pawn in order to know where you are with your victory objective. The openings are not perfectly adjusted to the "locker" but I had to choose a position arbitrarily because no board in the game has its design positioned in exactly the same place. But hey, it's still legible.
I added 4 walls that surround the main box. I made this addition to prevent the displacement of the main insert from damaging the cardboard of the original box by taking it out and in and out. Once all the boxes are positioned, they lock each other and nothing moves but you can either glue them together, or just put tape all around, like masking tape for painting, which will hold the whole thing together as well.
Printing all the final elements took about 60 hours but everything is cut into several elements so that each print takes no more than 7 hours for the larger pieces.

Refonte complète du rangement du matériel du jeu Takenoko et de son extension Chibis. Le tout est ajusté pour être mis dans la boite du jeu original.

J'ai également ajouté quelques éléments pour faciliter le gameplay. On trouve principalement 3 parties que l'on peut sortir de la boîte pour ne pas avoir besoin de la conserver à côté durant la partie.
- Un gros rangement contenant tout le matériel du jeu nécessaire pendant la partie (elle a été imprimée en 2 parties que l’on peut ensuite coller par exemple). On y trouve les cartes d’objectifs, les irrigations, les bambous et jetons divers.
- Un rangement pour les parcelles
- Un rangement pour les supports des parcelles
Les irrigations ont été refaites pour qu'elles soient plus visibles et elles sont clipsables sur les supports de parcelles pour un meilleur maintient.
Pour les plateaux cartonnés du jeu qui permettent de positionner le matériel personnel durant la partie, j'ai conçu un "casier" qui l'englobe en ajoutant des séparateurs entre chaque élément graphique ainsi qu'un support pour les cartes d'objectifs qui vient se clipser sur ce plateau. J'ai également ajouté un "curseur" de points sur lequel on vient positionner un pion afin de savoir où on en est de notre objectif de victoire. Les ouvertures ne sont pas parfaitement ajustées au "casier" mais j’ai dû choisir une position arbitrairement car aucune planche du jeu n’a son dessin positionné exactement au même endroit. Mais bon, ça reste lisible.
J'ai ajouté 4 parois qui entourent la boite principale. J'ai fait cet ajout pour éviter que les déplacements de l'insert principal n’abîment pas le carton de la boite d'origine à force de le sortir et de le rentrer. Une fois que toutes les boites sont positionnées, elles se bloquent les unes les autres et rien de bouge mais on peut soit les coller ensemble, soit simplement mettre du scotch tout autour, genre ruban de masquage pour la peinture, ce qui maintiendra l'ensemble également.
L'impression de tous les éléments définitifs a pris environ 60 heures mais tout est découpé en plusieurs éléments pour que chaque impression ne prenne pas plus de 7 heures pour les plus grosses pièces.
