Fantastic Factories insert for all expansions, sleeves, 3D printed resources
Please support stealth by Liking/Boosting their Print on Printables.
We love Fantastic Factories. We play it annually and take it with us on conventions.
This is an insert that will accomodate the base game, all expansions, sleeved cards, and upgraded resources available for purchase or printing.
All pieces get printed x1 (one time) except:
• resource trays & lids to resource trays are printed x4 (4 times)
• If you have base or base and manufactions then print “fantastic factories card top spacer for base plus manufactions only”
• If you have all content, then print “fantastic factories card top spacer plus all expansions”
• You can see from the pictures that these pieces are designed to keep the 2nd card space secure (cards don't flop around) so, one tray is larger than the other. I do not have Suberfuge but I went ahead and designed the insert for it (38 additional cards if memory serves with sleeves). AGAIN, you only need one or the other.
• “fantastic factories dice, 1st player, factions, tool label spacer tray” is designed to sit above the faction tiles to secure them in place.
• Resource trays are designed to hold 3D printed resources that you see in the pictures (cardboard is no trouble). And I made the insert to have x2 of each resource tray so that resources can be on both sides of the table.
• Many models use my “air print” profile (card box does not) to reduce filament use. One side of the lid has curved edges and is should be put outward (it will work either way) :)
Important: You can change the print profile to any standard you have, but I would keep the card box tray as my “airprint”. This is due to the fact that I designed it to be inserted into the card box, not slid down (although the slide works, you may have to slide it a few time for burrs or filament variation). I just insert into one side, bend it (it will not break), and then insert into the other side.
One more thing. “fantastic factories spacer piece” is the first piece to be removed when unboxing. You can just grab it and pull it out. I printed it with and without support (I typically use supports) and it printed fine for me. There are 2 versions of this piece, one contains my moniker :) and will use AMS, while the other is just a plain piece. You can use whatever you want. The piece can be placed as a tray or a flipped to be a solid piece.
