Evergreen Board Game Insert

Original description:
This is my take on an insert for Evergreen, one of my group's favourite board games. However, set up is always tedious, trying to get all the pieces out of the box for play.

So I went looking for inserts, most of which weren't what I was looking for, or didn't yet include space for Giant Trees & Mushrooms. So I decided to design one myself, anticipating another expansion release at Spiel Essen 2025.

About the insert:

It has storage trays with sliding lids that click together.

Every type of treeple in the game has their own tray.

•

Tiny player trays so everyone has what they need for set up in one go.

•

Fits sleeved cards (I made it with the official sleeves in mind).

•

Has no lid-lift.

One thing to note is that the player tray that houses the first player token can only be loaded in a single specific way (see included pictures).

You could use the two leftover trays (for a potential third expansion) to split the mushroom levels and the pine tree levels. Just don't print the blank lids and print an extra one of the Mushrooms and Pines. But I personally have left them empty to save table space and to store my leftover sleeves.

Important for printing:

To make sure the trays and their lids fit together well (regardless of printers/settings) I would recommend printing the lids with a brim. Then, to potentially reduce friction, a piece of fine grit sandpaper should do the trick. Run it along the edges until the lid fits the way you want it to.
