Model Description

The stock cardboard insert is fine but basic. Why settle when you can 3d print something?

Main portion includes an extra storage area for possible future expansions or if you are able to acquire the out-of-print Gingerbread Man expansion, a storage area for The River which is included in this newest version, and one for the regular starter tile. Extra meeplebox for another color, possible expansion pieces, or some fun alternative meeple (we often use snowmen in Winter Carcassonne).

I printed all in PLA at .2mm layer height, 2 wall loops, 10% infill. The meeple boxes will require supports due to the nesting feature.

Two options to print - if you want to acquire a bag to use for drawing tiles, or if you don't use a bag.

With bag storage:

Print 1x main, 1x bag box, 6x meeplebox_small

Without bag storage:

Print 1x main, 6x meeplebox_big

For extra fun you can print the boxes in different colors to match your meeple, and/or paint the inset logos. Regardless of which option you choose, should enable vertical storage without mixing the meeple.

NOTE: Does not fit in the 2012 Winter Edition box from Z-Man games. This is explicitly for the 2024 German edition which hasn't been republished in English as of this posting. If you are looking for something for the 2012 Winter Edition, try t his one .
