Fall of Lumen

This is an insert for Fall of Lumen

It holds the base game and 2 additional printed 3D elements (1st Player Token and Lumen City).

I found the 1st Player Token at Thingiverse and adjusted the size - Kudos go out: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3172637
I put Lumen City together from individual elements that I found on various platforms to create the model.

Firstly, sorting in the box:

Each 3D printed element has a letter and a number stamped on the bottom. This allows you to see where the element is sorted. From top to bottom, when you look into the box, you simply go through the letters: A, B, C etc.
The row is then assigned to a number. An example:
The first piece at the bottom is A1, on top of to it is also A1 and so on until the row is full. The second row below is then B1, then C1 and so on.
Pieces stacked on top of each other then have the numbers 1-X. So in row A there is A1, above that A2, A3 etc.

The insert has a very modular design and allows for quick assembly and disassembly and supports play. Cards that are randomly selected before the start of the game can be placed in card trays, which can then be placed on the game board so that the cards do not fly around. Cards that do not have to be selected, such as the trait card stacks, can simply be placed directly from the box onto the game board.

The Insert is design to allow the use of sleeved cards. I used Premium Sleeves from Docsmagic and there is 1.5mm air in every Tray (left and right) to support others as well.

The token trays can also be used directly from the box on the game table and each player has their own box with the starting material and cards.

The trays are almost all labelled, except for those where it is obvious what belongs there or where it doesn't matter (token trays, for example).

Everything is designed so that it can be printed in multiple colours, as you can see from the pictures.

The longest part for printing measures 293.5mm. I split it in the slicer with the cut tool and added connectors and it holds really well. Simply lay it upright in the slicer and divide it exactly in the centre and then print it flat again. I used Bambu Studio and as a connector I used the Snaps Tool and added 2 snaps with 5mm diameter - it holds really well.

Each STL file must be printed exactly once.

The whole thing was printed on a BambuLab P1S. The print takes approx. 39 hours with a material consumption of approx. 1275 grams - depending on how the infill is set or whether you print with top and bottom layers.

All Trays are marked with a letter and a number - e.g. A1, B2, C4 and so on.

think about the Box when you look from the Top of it. Sorting is then this:

A1 - A1 - A1 - A1 (First Row, Bottom Layer)
A2 - A2 - A2 (First Row, Second Layer)
A3 - A3 - A3 (First Row, Third Layer)
B1 - B1 - B1 (Second Row, First layer)
and so on.
So the Letter shows you which Row it is, and the number which layer (height) it is.
