Before you print
Stores vertically

This is an insert for the board game ANTS by cranio creations.

It's meant for fast setup and tear down, supports vertical storage because of the lids and fits the box nicely.

I have not created boxes for everything (player aids, special objects, incubation tiles) because they just come out of the box and are all used, I don't see the need of printing inserts for stuff like that. You could fit the incubation tiles in the player boards if you'd like a cleaner filled box. If requested I could easily desing a tray for the special objects.

The profile has 0 top and bottom layers, 15% honeycomb infill to get the visible infill pattern for the lids. This saves filament, time and I like it esthetically. If you don't like this just choose 2 top and bottom layers (strong enough) if you'd like your lids to be filled. You could also try a different infill pattern for a different look.

This insert meant for fast setup and tear down, supports vertical storage because of the lids and fits the box nicely. It doesn't fill up the box so everything is snug like many other inserts do, I design inserts with as little filament usage and printing time as possible. Select 0 top and bottom layers, choose 15% honeycomb infill (or another pattern like grid) to get the visible infill pattern for the lids. This saves filament, time and I like it esthetically. Otherwise, just choose 2 top and bottom layers (strong enough) if you'd like your lids to be filled. makeronline.com Pictures here
