Adventures of Robin Hood Insert (+ expansion)
Please support essenstar designs by Liking/Boosting their Print on MakerWorld.
Remix of a board game insert for Adventures of Robin Hood, compatible with the expansion Friar Tuck in Danger. This 7 piece insert fits in the base game box, providing an organized play experience with the various components. Make it easy to setup with each characters' tokens in their own tray, and all the small tokens separated. A lid on the small token tray ensures no spillage happens with vertical storage.
Features:
• Character trays for each character makes it super easy to setup. Only take out the trays for the characters that you're playing in that chapter.
• Small token tray keeps the purple and white cubes separated so you don't need to sort during play. Hourglass tokens are also easily accessible. A lid ensures none of these small pieces get mixed with vertical storage.
• Finger holes make it easy to take the books out of the box. The small token tray also has finger indents so the lid can be easily removed.
• Small outdent on the large cardboard bin makes it easy to take pieces out. Push down on an edge/corner of larger cardboard pieces, and pick it up by the opposite lifted edge!
• Insert works perfectly well with just the base game. When you get the expansion, the same insert will store everything too (but you may want to print the cardboard divider to help keep base vs expansion cardboard tokens separated)
• No lid lift with just the base game! Only 2mm lid lift with the expansion!
Instructions for just the base game:
• Print 4x of the character tray
• Place all of each character's pieces per tray (meeples, measuring lengths, cubes, initiative token)
• Print 1x of the small token tray
• Place all of the purple cubes in the large side bin with the cube symbol
• Place all of the white cubes in the middle bin with the cube symbol
• Place all of the hourglass tokens in the side bin with the hourglass symbol
• Print 1x of the small token tray lid
• Print 1x of the cardboard tray
• Place all the purple (Guy of Guisborne) pieces in one bin
• Place all the grey pieces in the other bin
• Place the red Hope marker in whichever bin you prefer
• As you play the game, you can place unneeded cardboard pieces in the large cardboard bin
• The story books can go in the remaining space (see the photos)
• Place the board pieces (in the sleeve) and the other thin booklets on top
Instructions for base game + expansion:
• Follow the instructions for the base game
• Print 1x of the optional cardboard tray divider, to keep the base game pieces separated from the expansions pieces in the bin
• The additional story book fits with the base game story book
• The additional board pieces in its sleeve and thin booklets fit on top with the base game board pieces and booklet
Updates since photos were taken:
• Moved the thumb hole on the cardboard tray
My print settings (not necessarily optimized):
• Bambu Lab A1
• PLA
• 0.2mm layers w/ 0.4mm stainless steel nozzle
• 2 wall loops
• 10% infill rectilinear
• No brim, no supports
Remix differences from the original:
• Removed the book tray
• Added separate bins for white/purple cubes and hourglass tokens in the small tray
• Changed character bin dimensions and made them individual so you can flip them to take out all components at once
• Added finger holes to make it easier to take the books out
• Added a lid to the small tray so its better for vertical storage
• Added a small outdent on the cardboard bin to make it easier to pick up pieces
• Added a cardboard bin divider to separate pieces from the expansion
