Storage Components for Caverna and The Forgotten Folk
Please support jdpeters by Liking/Boosting their Print on Thingiverse.
This is my storage solution for fitting all components from the board game Caverna, and its expansion The Forgotten Folk (as well as a few other mini expansions) in the main Caverna game box.
I adapted this from an existing solution that I came up with before I had a 3D printer (and before the big expansion came out), so it is a bit of hodge-podge of parts. While I'm not sure many will be able to replicate exactly what I've done, I'm hoping some of the individual parts might be of use. I use a Plano storage container (model 3620) to store all of the meeples, tokens, etc. Also the larger tiles are stored using holders I designed out of cardstock - this may be necessary as the space is very tight to fit those tiles. The PDF template for these holders is also included in the file list.
The 3D printed parts are:
3x weapons tray and lids - to store the weapons from level 1 - 14
7x player pieces box (I have an extra color there so I've actually printed 8, you might want/need to do the same)
1x tray to store the race-specific buildings from the Forgotten Folk expansion
1x tray for storing race reference cards, round cards and tokens
And then angled trays to store the building and smaller tiles on top of the Plano box, while allowing the lid still to close:
4x size 24 (for ruby mines/fields, cave and pasture tiles, and green buildings)
1x size 21 (for orange buildings)
1x size 18 (for yellow buildings)
1x size 9 (for building tiles from Mini and Water expansions)
3D-printed storage components to fit Caverna, Forgotten Folk, and also mini expansions in one box. Note, not a fully 3D-printed solutions - also uses a Plano box and some card stock.. Specifically includes potentially useful trays for storing the weapons tiles. ]
