Ark Nova box inserts (laser cut)
Please support Gertsen by Liking/Boosting their Print on Printables.
A friend of mine asked me to cut these inserts, but the original files were scaled weird.
So, I resized all the original drawings, and made a few optimizations here and there.
Especially the “Additional tray insert" files were a mess, all sorts of strange line-artifacts at every corner, I basically had to redraw the whole thing from scratch.
Everything is designed for 3mm thick boards.
I used MDF boards, assembled with regular wood glue.
I rearranged the parts, so (including the additional tray insert) everything fits on three 600x300 mm sheets.
In the renderings shown in this post, I color-coded each sheet to show where the parts go in the assembled inserts.
• Sheet 1 is yellow
• Sheet 2 is red
• Sheet 3 is blue
The files are available in DXF format, which can be easily converted to other formats (like SVG) using various online converters.
I also included the Fusion 360 project (excuse the mess, I'm still a bit of a rookie in Fusion)
