About the Game

A Major Victory are an abstract set of tabletop wargame rules (but not too abstract) specifically formulated for playing miniatures battles of the medieval period in Europe.

Troops are classed as light/medium/heavy foot or mounted, or artillery, and further subdivided by weapon type (bows, handguns, pikes, etc.). Movement is conducted on a coarse grid, dividing the table into fifteen or so zones. Combat is resolved by rolling dice.
