About the Game

A print and play variant of the classic game Pit! Designed to be used for 4 or 5 small groups as a warm up activity for an event promoting fair trade.

The game is played in four or five small teams of 3-5 members. Jigsaw-style pieces of bananas with pictures of banana producers around the world plus letters spelling out the word FairTrade are shuffled and distributed evenly. Teams then have to swap pieces with other teams (always one for one, two for two etc) to collect all the pieces with the same picture. However, trading is done by shouting the number of pieces you want to swap. You only know how many pieces you are getting, not what picture is on them. Teams then have to assemble the pieces into a complete banana. Whichever team does this first wins.
