Indovina Burqi 2023

Question: If a child in Afghanistan loses his burqa-wearing mother at the market, would he be able to find her again? My response was to create yet another game through which people can give themselves their own personal answer. Reflection on such a serious topic could emerge between the discomfort of having to approach something so important in an extremely frivolous way, through a card game.

Inside the box, the deck is made up of 75 cards, divided into three different sub-decks representing the two GAME TEAMS and a third of the CHOICE of the mysterious character to play with. Having chosen the team and placed the cards on the table, each player places in front of them 25 women in burqas and must ask the correct questions to guess the opponent's character.

Domanda: se un bambino in Afghanistan perde sua madre che indossa il burqa al mercato, riuscirebbe a ritrovarla? La mia risposta è stata creare l’ennesimo gioco in attraverso il quale la gente possa darsi la propria personale risposta. La riflessione su un argomento talmente serio potrebbe sbucare tra il disagio del doversi approcciare a qualcosa di così importante in modo estremamente frivolo, attraverso un gioco di carte, e la presa di coscienza di come l’identità pubblica delle donne che indossano il burqa sia effettivamente e totalmente appiattita e portata allo stato di zero. O è solo un pensiero occidentalocentrico e chi ci gioca scoprirà di poter aiutare il bambino a ritrovare la madre? Burqì lo sa.

All’interno del pack, il mazzo è composto da 75 carte, divise in tre diversi sotto-mazzi rappresentanti i due TEAM DI GIOCO e un terzo di SCELTA del personaggio misterioso con cui giocare. Scelto il team e posizionate le carte sul tavolo, ogni giocatore ha davanti a sé 25 donne in burqa su cui fare le domande corrette per arrivare ad indovinare il personaggio avversario.
