About the Game

Replace It Nerd is a fast-paced, real-time card game for 2-6 players where everyone plays at once, there are no turns, just quick hands and quicker reflexes. Each player starts with their own "nerd" deck and races to build three piles by playing cards that are numerically one higher or lower than the card on top (with a 1-10 wraparound, so a 10 can go on a 1 and vice versa). In the center sits a shared "bully" deck, dealing out cards that any player can grab and slot onto their own piles, or better yet, steal from an opponent's pile, if the fit is right and they're brave enough to shout "REPLACE IT NERD!"

The tension ramps up with Bully Action Cards, which saddle a stolen-from player with an awkward physical penalty such as playing one-handed, keeping an elbow on the table, closing an eye until they draw their protective Nerd Character Card and trumping the bully. Character cards are wild, can absorb any number, and can never be stolen, making them a small safe harbor in an otherwise chaotic scramble.

The round ends the moment the bully deck runs dry, at which point everyone tallies up: +1 for every bully card collected, +1/-1 for cards stolen or lost, and a +2 bonus for every bully punishment successfully defeated with a nerd character. Players can either race to 100 points across multiple rounds ("Perfect Score") or play a gauntlet where the lowest scorer gets cut each round until one "Last Nerd Standing" remains.
