About the Game

The Great Escape Recon is a mini solitaire card game played in 3 stages and an expansion for The Great Escape.

Stage 1 At night you must escape the compound by making your way between huts avoiding any guards and searchlights. Reach the blind spot in the fence and, with a good pair of wire cutters, you should be able to make your escape.

Stage 2 Pursued by guards you must make your way across various terrain and either head straight for the border and safety or spend some time gathering vital information that will aid your fellow campmates should you be captured.

Stage 3 This stage combines the cards from The Great Escape with any knowledge of the surrounding area that you might have gained in Stage 2. Armed with this information the POWs from The Great Escape should now have a better chance of escaping.
