Fortune and Glory: The Cliffhanger Game
This is an insert for Fortune and Glory Revised Edition.
It holds the base game and the two expansions Rise of the Crimson Hand and Treasure Hunters. The lid closes flush. The insert is designed for sleeved cards. I use Gamegenic Premium Matte Sleeves and this is what I designed and tested with. The inside dimensions of the boxes for the cards are 68x93mm - so everyone can see if it fits their card sleeves.
The insert is designed so that further expansions would fit. The card boxes have an integrated filler and the miniature boxes also have space. New tokens can also be accommodated. Of course, I can't say 100% whether everything will fit, as nobody knows what will be added in future expansions.
I found the skulls and the treasure trays on various platforms and modified them a little. I converted the First Player Token into a token as an SVG file. The Villain Board was inspired by BGG and converted into a 3D board.
The insert is modular and allows quick assembly and disassembly and supports the game. Trays can be used on the table during the game.
The card boxes serve as draw and discard piles. For the Danger and Cliffhanger cards, there is a dummy card on top so that you can draw the cards underneath without seeing what comes next.
The tokens for Fortune and Glory have been converted into 3D and printed. The two trays are designed for this, but the normal cardboard tokens can also be stored there. If you want to print the coins, they are divided into front and back and I then glued them together with superglue.
Some of the trays are labelled or decorated with a few graphics so that you know what belongs where.
There are some tokens in the box that are not used for playing and according to the instructions you can use them for other purposes. These tokens are simply stored in trays where there was space and no extra trays were designed.
The Villain Board was created on the basis of a great design (BGG Link: https://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/72787/villain-board-city-board-enemy-board).
I changed it a bit and designed it to maximise its usefulness. Fortune can be counted - if the Villains have 3 Fortune, then the tracker goes up one. The artefacts that the Villains have captured can also be stored and any status symbols can be held by green/red pins. Green means here: The symbol has been activated and a corresponding card is in play. Red means here: The symbol has been activated and a corresponding card is not in play. The state of the villains can also be recorded with the miniature (KO, Delayed and Ready). Everyone I spoke to said that a board like this is very helpful when playing to get a better overview of the upkeep.
Everything is designed so that it can be printed in multiple colours, as you can see from the pictures.
The longest part for printing measures 292mm. I then split this in the Bambu Studio and fitted it with snap connectors.
Two other parts measure 281mm and 260mm - I rotated these by 45 degrees in the slicer and was then able to print them without any problems.
Each STL file must be printed exactly once, except for the Coin STL files. There the number is in the file name (64x and 10x)
The whole thing was printed on a BambuLab P1S. Printing takes approx. 54 hours with a material consumption of approx. 1915 grams - depending on how the infill is set or whether you print with top and bottom layer (with the card fillers, I printed this without top and bottom layer with a wall thickness of 1).
