Puerto Rico Coquí 3D Scan & Print – First Attempt

This 3D model is a scanned replica of a Puerto Rico-themed souvenir featuring the iconic coquí frog perched on a historic fort wall with vibrant tropical fruits at its base. The original piece highlights Puerto Rican culture with detailed textures and colors, which I aimed to capture in this 3D scan.

I used the Creality Ferret Pro scanner to create the scan, and while it’s not perfect, it turned out to be a solid first attempt. The scanner did a decent job of capturing the general shape and details, although some finer elements required post-processing.

The print was made using white filament to better visualize the details and imperfections that can be refined in future iterations. I’m looking forward to improving my scanning and printing techniques to achieve even more accurate results.

I hope this inspires others who are exploring 3D scanning and printing to experiment with their own cultural and artistic pieces. Any feedback or suggestions for improvement are welcome!
