This organizer is designed to hold the components in place when the box is stored vertically, and to protect them during travel. The component boxes all have a bit wiggle room, making it easy to remove them from the box, while the two “box base” parts are designed to flip over and press-fit tightly into the game's cardboard cutout. The boxes are not designed to hold sleeved cards or any other modifications.

This design uses as little filament as possible and will print extremely fast with the correct slicer settings. The full set should print in approximately 1 hour 15 minutes at 60mm/s speed, using only 27g of filament.

Print settings:
Width: 0.5mm (all layers!)
Layer height: 0.3mm
Gap fill: OFF
Perimeters: 4
Top layers: 0
Bottom layers: 0
Infill: 12% Honeycomb

The walls are 1mm thick and should print perfectly with 0.5mm extrusion width for all layers. Make sure that “gap fill” is disabled, your slicer may try to mess around with the walls which really slows the print speed and makes the walls ugly.

The top and bottom layers are turned off, so the surface of the print is made from bare infill. You can increase or decrease the infill density, and try other patterns like Grid or Stars. Rectilinear is not recommended.

You will need 2 of the large “base box” pieces, and one of each other piece. Or print the file that has everything already laid-out. After printing, flip the large “base box” pieces and insert them into the cardboard slots upside-down, then place the game components into the other trays and arrange them as seen in the pictures.

Each part was designed using a customizable parametric OpenSCAD module. This means you can open the .scad file and adjust the dimensions to create your own boxes for sleeved cards, extra pieces, or any other board game.
