Benchmade Mini Barrage Shadow Box

UPDATE 2/14/25: I added a drill guide for installing the mounting screws. Worked perfectly for me but your mmv. I also was able to assemble everything and fit perfectly! Ive posted final photos so you can see how it turned out. Only thing i would have done differently was printed it in multiple colors and maybe a lighter color for the interior so the details arnt lost int he dark filament. But i can always reprint it again in the future. For now im happy with it.

Original Post: I recently won a Benchmade mini barrage purple haze in a raffle and decided i wanted to display it on my wall. Designed this shadow box to do just that. I took some acrylic i had laying around and cut it to 271.5mm by 158mm to slot into the box as a cover.

I used 6mm x 3mm magnets to secure the blade in place for display. There is a bit of a lip around the outer edge of the blade resting area that prevents the blade from twisting from gravity pulling the heavy body of the blade down.

I have test printed this a box a few times and currently am printing the final (hopefully) iteration of it. The final sectional test prints came out clean so i have high hopes im not about to waste a quarter spool of filament!
