Inspired by the Esoteric Order of Gamers foamcore insert which I had built and used for a long time. I took the culture storage & display trays as the starting point and built a 3D printed organizer around that.
The culture trays leave all those bits in an organized display that comes out of the box and sets next to the board in seconds. I have spaces for 6x3 magnets to hold them together during play. They should just press fit in with no glue needed.
I tried to keep the Standard Rules bits within one tray so you can easily leave that in the box if playing Classic Rules.
Printing
This is a big print project and will take a bunch of plastic and time. Plan on getting a full kg spool just for this project. Some of the parts--particularly the culture trays--are big pieces. I used my 250 Voron Trident to print, and that's the minimum bed size for the bigger parts.
I printed with 18% Gyroid infill to make sure the bases of the wells laid down correctly. Then 3 walls and bottom layers, 4-5 top layers for a good finish.
I looked at the inserts available and couldn't really figure out how they were supposed to go together. I had the Esoteric Order of Gamers foam core insert built and in use, but that was before falling down the 3D printer rabbit hole. I finally decided to just design my own based on the foam core and some other well-designed inserts I had found & printed up.
