Model Description

Card organizer, based on a magnets.

Simple and convenient organizer for Machi Koro with an expansion Macho Koro Sharp. This organizer will allow you to easily and quickly distribute the game on any surface.

What you need for this:
  • Inlay_3_cards.stl – 12 pieces
  • Inlay_2_cards.stl – 1 piece
  • Cube magnets (5*5*5 mm) – 6 pieces (you can use more, if you want)
  • M3*4 Screw Countersunk – 52 pieces
Recomendations
  • Check screws with magnet before purchasing – Different types of metals are magnetized with different power
  • You can use 5 mm ball magnets (like NeoCubes). The attraction will be weaker, but this will be enough for docking
  • Take care of your hands – 52 screws may leave unpleasant calluses on the hands, while you screw them into the corners

Pull out cards – just push and slide

Magnets power (on the video used magnet cubes 5 mm)

History

My wife got sick this New Year holidays, she spent almost a week in bed. I supported her as best I could, and despite the illness, we had a good weekends. One of our activities was board games, and Machi Koro was one of our favorites.
But laying out all these cards on a soft blanket... This is not the most pleasant experience, I think fans of this game will understand me. Then the idea arose to create a playing field with the following characteristics:
- easy to move
- modular to take up little space
- cards must not leave their places

This is how this project was born. Of course, the amount of filament used can also be optimized. And I have to buy a new box for this organizer; I think I’ll find it in a gift wrapping store.

Play fun and take care of your loved ones =)
