This is technically a remix of the Hexes for LEGO mini figures (re-modeled) by @Nat_

Although I have redesigned this in Fusion 360 from the ground up I have marked it as a remix to credit them, please note this reworked version does not fit the LEGO mini figures (re-modeled) See update 21/05/2025 ⬇

Having found some of my Ninjago mini figures are too tall to fit in I have resigned for taller figures and made other changes.

What has changed:

The Hex size is bigger by approx 7mm so you can fit taller mini figures.

I have made the screw hole (wall mount versions) sit at the top of the hex and made the screw slot neater and smaller (4mm diameter screw).

I have increased the size of the mini figure base cut-out so the figure sits neatly inside, also added a chamfered edge for easier placement and removal.

I have made the outer walls slightly thicker.

The depth has not changed and there are still two versions, one with no back and one with back (both versions have wall mount options).

Having got my Ninjago display all set up (with the LEGO mini figures (re-modeled version) I thought it would be cool to have a blanking plate that covered the wall mount versions to hide the screw, but my main goal was to show what set was on display. I have therefore added blanking plates to my version, more may follow or let me know if you would like a specific version to go with your mini figure set(s).

On the blanking plate there are small tabs at the top and the two sides, a gentle snap fit and very easy to remove. (I hide the set leaflet inside the wall mount hex).

No crazy setting needed and def no supports, I printed at 15% Gyroid infill with default parameters at .2 layer height. For the hex, the blanking plate and hex joiners.

Tolerance on the Hex slots should be spot on with these setting and they are easy to join or separate. (This depends on your printer - I print all mine on a Prusa XL

minifigure-hex-no-back approx 30g of filament and 2h 20m to print

minifigure-hex-no-back-wall-mount approx 35g and 2h 33m to print

minifigure-hex-with-back approx 40g and 2h 45m to print

minifigure-hex-with-back-wall-mount approx 40g and 2h 45m to print

If displaying on a clean white wall I think the NO BACK version works well and can save you a few grams of filament, but if you want more colour behind your mini figures then use the WITH BACK version.

Designed in metric units, adjust in your slicer accordingly.

Please post photos of your finished prints, and give it a rating.

Happy Printing -Dave 😉

UPDATE: 21/05/2025

I have now added two HEX joiners so you can join my version with the LEGO mini figures (re-modeled) version by @Nat_ If you have started your mini figure wall then you can add/join both versions using the hex joiners. (see images). You'll have to print both as I forgot which one fits top/bottom before I published 😁
