Box insert for Outer Rim.
I designed this with usability during the game in mind. I haven't decided if it's worth making large boxes for the tiles, player boards, and ships, so for now they just go on top.
Print one of everything except:
Market Card Tray - print 2
Single Card Tray - print 8 (encounter cards plus one for the solo AI cards)
Note the spacers to fill in the empty space.
I am listing this as a work in progress because I'm open to feedback, particularly how to integrate the large pieces.
UPDATE 6-17-20: I added the file "card holder" so you can print two of these 4-card holders instead of eight individual ones. After several plays, I realized people preferred to take the encounter cards out of the trays anyway, rather than place the cards around the map in their trays. So now you have the option of either method.
My Outer Rim box insert, designed with in-game usability in mind. As such, there's some empty space being filled with spacers until an expansion appears. I didn't know what to do with the large pieces (ships, player boards, and board pieces), so they just go on top for now. If anyone has suggestions for how to integrate them, I'll look into it. I really didn't want to print humongous trays just for aesthetics.
