Azul Organizer Insert
Please support EddieCoast by Liking/Boosting their Print on Printables.
Azul is a fantastic game, and an excellent ambassador for people new to boardgames but MY GOODNESS of all the games out there with oversized boxes, this one takes the unreasonably large crown - the box for Azul is simply way too big.
In fact, I'm going to be honest, this insert is just not worth it. If you still have the plastic insert that came with the base game, just keep using that (maybe supplement it with Thomas H 3D's Slim Azul Tray or one of its remixes). I gave it a shot and tried to design a better insert, but let me tell you I failed - printing this insert will just be a waste of plastic, I really mean it.
But if you've eaten too many of the delicious tile pieces and are dead set on going ahead, here's what you should do. Print
• 1 azul_scorecubes.step
• 1 azul_factories.step
• 4 azul_quadrant_x4.step
If you have the Master Chocolatier version of Azul, or the base version of Azul and don't intend to get any of the expansions, print
• 1 azul_filler.step
it's literally just a filler part. Maybe you can find some use for it during gameplay?
But, if you have or intend to get the Special Factories expansions, instead of azul_filler , print
• 1 azul_expansions.step
As you can see in the pictures, this insert leaves enough room in the box for the plastic player board overlays and extra player boards that come with the Crystal Mosaic expansion.
Okay, good luck not eating the tile pieces.
