Dragon tray: Keep tools and parts from rolling
Please support Eike by Liking/Boosting their Print on Printables.
I made this tray for use on my EE/robotics DIY hobby project workbench.
I often have a small parts flying around the bench. I wanted a style of tray with meaningful sidewalls to help contain them, but also floor ridges to prevent them from rolling around when pushed or carried.
Another thing flying around the bench is various tools, which I don't want to have roll around when propped up on one end for easy pickup. For this reason the sidewalls have arched, tapered cutouts, angled inward ever so slightly. Tools come to test at the lowest point of an arch.
Provided files are the fully parametric Fusion project - change width, depth, height, wall thickness, cutout height, etc. to your needs easily - and a .3mf export at default 18cm x 14cm size.
I print these in PLA at 0.14mm layer height with a 0.4mm nozzle on my MK4 to good results.
