Continuing the effort to make Terrorscape look like a proper tabletop experience…

This time: the Porcupine Door from the expansion.

And let’s be honest — the original token is… functional.
But visually? Not exactly something you’d want to highlight on the board.

So instead of forcing a single “correct” version, I went with:

👉 multiple variants — pick what fits your style

🚪 What this is

A 3D replacement for the Porcupine Door token , including three different variants :

retracting door (Mimic Brick style)

classic gate (Gloomhaven-inspired)

dungeon portcullis

All sized to match the original board footprint and usable as direct replacements.

🔄 Design approach

The goal here was simple:

improve visuals

keep gameplay intact

give users freedom of choice

However, not all models were treated the same (due to licensing):

⚖ Remix & source breakdown

You have to remix it in slicer yourself as i cant join the remixes in one license

Gloomhaven-style door
→ most close to the actual, just cut the base

Dungeon portcullis
→ only scale down (67.29%)

Mimic Brick retracting door
→ Just take the original and scale it to 73.06% to fit Terrorscape board

🖨 Print setup (tested, not theoretical)

Printed on:

Prusa MK4S (FFF)

PETG – C-TECH Premium

Recommended:

0.25mm FAST (Draft) → fully usable

0.10mm FAST (Detail) → better visual result

3 perimeters

Good news:

no supports needed (depending on orientation)

all variants print reliably

🎨 Finishing

Works well straight off the printer.

Optional:

drybrush → highlights details

darker tones → stronger dungeon look

👉 but even unpainted, they already outperform the original token

🎲 In-game use

Direct replacement for the Porcupine Door token.

Function stays exactly the same:

blocks movement

creates obstacles

affects player positioning

Only difference:
👉 now it actually looks like something dangerous instead of decorative cardboard.

More coming.

At this point, the cardboard components are clearly being replaced one by one.

IF you read until here you are persistent, and I want to share with you that I do not make models for money. That said, I do not reject support for more printing materials, so feel free to ... "Buy me a piece of filament?"
