A Kumiko pattern inspired storage box designed for the beautiful Japanese board game Hanamikoji .

The box features a slide-in lid with a lock mechanism that prevents it from opening unintentionally.

To open the lid, press the two corners together and pull the lid out:

The box comes in two variants :

• Clean walls

• Walls with wood patterns - separate print profile. For best results, use PLA WOOD, dry it well. The wood pattern was generated using the model from https://makerworld.com/en/models/868884-add-wood-grain-effects-to-your-models-using-a-smal#profileId-820403

The insert is a separate component that fits inside this box, but it also fits perfectly into the original cardboard box. It holds sleeved item cards and beside regular token, there is also space for small tokens from the Polish version of the 7 mini expansions .

Printing:

I recommend printing the pattern on a smooth plate for the best look, but it’s not required.

When printing the label without AMS, it is necessary to manually add a pause to change the filament after the plate is printed.

Lid assembly:

• Place the label into the lid space.

• Add a small drop of superglue into each hole.

• Position the Kumiko pattern on top and press firmly until the glue sets.
