Rectangular Box with Magnetic Lid (5x2mm Magnets)

This is a 3D-printable rectangular box with a magnetic snap-fit lid , built for function and simplicity. The design uses eight 5x2mm round magnets — four in the base, four in the lid —to create a secure yet easy-to-open closure.

IMPORTANT:
This model is designed to be printed with print pauses at the correct layer height to insert magnets during the print. If you don’t pause, the printer will cover the magnet slots with 0.4mm of filament—effectively sealing them shut. You must add custom G-code pauses (e.g., with PrusaSlicer or Cura) to insert the magnets before the next layer gets printed.

Ideal for storing small tools, electronics, parts, or EDC items. Simple geometry, clean finish, and functional magnetic snap make it great for both everyday use and display.
