Simple Magnetic Life Counter
Plate Details (3)
I am not going to claim that this is a world-changing design, but it's simple, effective, and fun to play with.
Wheeled life counter to count from 00-99 (with an optional little square to add a third digit). Held in place by magnets, which keeps a low profile, makes them easy to switch colors, and fun to fidget with.
There should be a pause at layer 12 to insert magnets. I put the magnets at opposite polarity in the face piece (and then again on the wheels) and have been happy with that result, but it should work just as well if the magnets all face the same way.
Some variation/options included:
For the wheels, they're offered in a multicolor (AMS) or with the numbers as a negative part. Pop a little paint or sharpie into the negative part and it looks great!
Additionally, on the Multi-colored wheel plate, there is a square with a ‘1’ that can pop on the front to add a third digit, or go on the back to prop the dial on to MrThous' great villain stand for Marvel Champions (this doesn't work flawlessly, but it is kinda fun).
On the faceplate plate, the backs are totally optional, but may be a good add if you find the wheel is moving a bit too easily for your taste- an extra set of magnets means they don't slide as easily, but should still turn easily when you need them to.
On both the front and back, there are options to either have the magnet exposed (glue in the magnets, not a friction/press in fit at all) or to pause and put a few more layers on top. I went with the former to save a few fractional mm in storage, but both should function well.

Yet another 00-99 counter, this one made with magnets to keep a low profile.
