Sliding Deck Box (No Glue) Card Top Loaders
Please support MaxLevel24 by Liking/Boosting their Print on MakerWorld.
With this deck box, you can give a little more protection to your high-value cards. I designed this scaled-up remix specifically to accommodate standard top loaders from brands like Ultra Pro or VaultX. It maintains the no-glue, print-in-place construction of the original, keeping the features that worked well, like the swappable lids and preview windows, while adding the clearance needed for rigid top loader sleeves.
While designing the standard version, I realized I wanted an easier way to grab the top loaders without pinching them. This led to the creation of an optional version that I am calling the popup deck box. It features a print-in-place sliding mechanism at the base that lets you lift your cards slightly above the box edge. This is a completely unnecessary feature that no one asked for, but I love playing around with it. Your cards remain fully protected and enclosed when the pop-up slider is closed.
• Enlarged Interior: Scaled to comfortably hold cards in top loaders without bending or damaging the protective sleeves.
• Optional Popup Base: A fun, over-engineered version that lifts your cards for a no-pinch grip. It is a print-in-place design that requires no extra assembly or hardware.
• Slotted vs. Smooth Walls: Choose versions with slots for dividers to keep your deck steady or smooth walls for a clean interior. Note: The Popup version requires the slotted divider walls to keep the cards aligned properly with the mechanism.
•
Modular Lids and Styles: The sliding lid is unchanged from the previous version, allowing you to easily add, remove, and mix-and-match colors. Available in solid versions or single preview windows for maximum show-off-ability.
This is my remix of the fantastic sliding deck box by @3DPrintingDude and the updated design I made for regular sleeved cards.
