Dune: Imperium board game custom Ships (for Rise of Ix extension) including stand

Four custom spaceships created to remedy the one heretical mistake in the Dune: Imperium series of board games - having the ability to get the beautiful small models of soldiers, workers and alliances with the Deluxe expansion- however not so much the ships introduced with the Rise of Ix pack.

Therefore, I've created four types of ships that go well with the original artwork and theme of both Villeneuve's films, as well as the film-inspired art of the board game itself. All of the ships are not exact copies of the film versions, but represent my own take on the visuals of the crafts within that universe. There's the sleek house Atrides ship (green), bug-like Harkonnens (red), the yellow Emperor's Sardukar legions craft, as well as one less house-specific space-fairing battleship representing the blue side.

Printing information:

• All ships are to be printed in pairs, making it eight ships in total for the purpose of the game. The preferred material for FDM printing is PLA. My models were printed on Bambulab P1S using a 0.4 mm nozzle. All of the models are printed out at 120 % scale of their original size, in order to promote more detail in the print.

• Included in the pack is my custom stand for the ships, which is designed to fit the colorful base rings of each fraction. The stand can be printed using a transparent PLA. A surprisingly high degree of transparency can be achieved by setting up the printing speeds to be very slow – about 100 mm. Make sure to adjust the printing settings accordingly.

• The model for the snap-fit base ring is also part of the pack and is modeled to be interchangeable with the original one.

When it comes to design and colors, you can either print the ships in their respective colors right away, or use the feature of the base colorful rings to differentiate between the fractions and. You can also print them using some bright filament and color them afterward, just like I did with my marble-white PLA and some acrylic colors for the bases.
