Model Description

We moved house 2 years and our beloved backgammon board got missing, so I needed to design a new one that gives us the feel of our beloved board. Well it seems we didn't love it that much, otherwise we would still find it, right? What? I was just looking for an excuse to spend countless nights in Autodesk Fusion to design this? I needed a justification to buy this stunning looking bronze filament? Maybe the truth lays somewhere in the middle…

The complete board is foldable to hold boxes with backgammon/checkers and chess pieces inside.

In case you are only a casual player, starting positions of chess and backgammon are printed on the boxes.

The connection of the boards is a very tight fit but extremely stable. You can add a dab of superglue for safety, but in normal handling conditions it's not needed.

The screws that hold the hinges are also a very tight fit. If you cant get the to screw in, just remove the threads with an exacto knife and press them in.

Everything is well organized on separate plates, a single AMS is needed for the prints, Everything is already colored.

The board uses a special, very fast ironing process that looks absolutely amazing with well calibrated filament.

I use these chess pieces from alexr , as they look really good and I like a good traditional chess piece set.
