I wanted more realistic infinity stones, so I used the stl model from here:
https://www.printables.com/model/1271345-infinity-stones
I then cut the original faceted stones in half horizontally and joined them together with these rougher looking stones. I also scaled them to match the size of the original faceted stones. That way they easily glue into the recesses on the gauntlet model.
There is still more work that could be done on the original faceted bases to make make them thinner and cut off the excess, would be better if the stones looked like they were inset a bit more and the bases were hidden.
The green stone on the thumb is the worst fit, may be due to the actual model (scan?) being a little wonky there.
The profile contains additional plates with everything scaled to 150% and individual stones ready to print in different colors. Note that the filling options are different for the stone object vs the glove. I also changed the support type to avoid breakage of the tree supports on the thumb.

Model Description
Shout out to both MikeGyver here on makerworld and Froggieg on thingiverse for their designs and remixes.
I don't have the game that is required for the original model, but my son wanted a gauntlet, we both liked the way this model looked so I got to work in tinkercad doing my best to make “gems” that can be glued into each slot, each gem slot and gem is unique, use superglue/CA/adhesive of your preference.
