Are your sheep spilling out of your hand? Do you have 99 problems and 98 of them are playing cards? Are you cards too big and your hands too small?
Then this is the print for you!

This folding card holder (fholder in short) can hold your cards for you and leave your hands free to snack on cheetos or fight zombies. And when you are done, it folds away for easy storage.
The fholder comes in four convenient sizes, from the excessive 34 cm (13.5 in) version, to the diminutive 12cm (4.75 in) variant. (Though why you would need a stand that only fits about 3 cards is left for you to figure out.)
The print-in place hinge means no additional setup is required, while the friction fit angle setting and snap-in hook make sure everything stays in place, both on the table and in your pocket.

Tolerance check

To ensure optimal performance, the fholder (pronounced “fe-holder”) comes with a test-print to figure out which tolerance is the right one for you. Make sure to print it with the same settings that you intent to use for the final print.

Pick the tolerance version for which both of the circles can move freely. If in doubt rather go one size bigger than to low.

The tolerance variants are:

• A: 0.10mm

• B: 0.15mm

• C: 0.20mm

• D: 0.30mm

Recommended print settings

There are some settings that can make it hard for you to get your own perfect fholder. If things are not working to your satisfaction pay close attention to these settings in your slicing software:

Scarf joints
The print should work with or without scarf joints, but when things are not working try turning them off

Slice gap closing radius
Since the gap for the hinge is only 0.1mm in the tightest tolerance variant, the slicer can merge the parts together. This should already be visible in the slicer before printing. But to be on the safe side, make sure that this is way lower than the tolerance setting (0.01mm for example)

X-Y hole compensation
This can lead to the hinge being very loose, even on the tightest tolerance setting, if you aren't completely certain that you set this correctly, try adjusting this value, if no tolerance variant works for you.

Wall printing order
Precision is key. Either use Outer/Inner when printing with 2 or less walls, or Inner/Outer/Inner when using 3 or more walls.

Elephants foot compensation
Squish is good, especially with a print with relatively little surface area as this one. But make sure that the first layer doesn't get squished so much that the hinge fuses together. If in doubt add 0.1mm to this setting.
