Modular Paint Rack: Core - AP & Vallejo Bottles

An expandable paint organizer designed for use with Vallejo and Army Painter dropper bottle style paints. Each rack prints without supports and holds 21 paint bottles, plus 3 per additional rack attached due to the staggered levels overlapping. These staggered levels allow you to view more of the bottle's paint color as well as the label's name compared to standard in-line paint racks.

If you keep your paints stored away most of the time, like myself, these racks were also designed to fit as two rows within a 13 inch storage cube organizer, such as the Ikea Kallax.

Attaching Racks Together

The second plate of the 3mf has two sets of clips which should be more than sufficient to firmly connect two racks together in the locations depicted in the pictures (Bottom front-most hexigon and top-most hexigon). Additional clips can be added for extra rigidity if you plan on moving the racks around a lot. When set in place, the clips are secure enough that you will have a hard time removing them by hand and will have to use something flat and thin to slip between the clip and rack to leverage it out.

Print Profile Notes

• The outer wall speeds have been dropped to 80mm/s to achieve the best finish without compromising too much on speed, however, if finish isn't a priority for you and you would like the model printed faster, you are welcome to try it at higher speeds at your own (model's) risk.

• Larger layer heights than the one used will result in overhang issues, however, these will be in sections largely out of sight and should not effect usability of the clips.

• Make sure your filament is dry, and your printer/filament settings are dialed in regarding stringing! This print will put those to the test.
