Castles of Burgundy (2019) Box Insert
Please support olivvybee by Liking/Boosting their Print on MakerWorld.
This is a box insert for The Castles of Burgundy (2019) designed to keep all the components organised in the box and make setup faster. Note this is the “anniversary” edition released by Alea in 2019, the version with the three keys on the box.
My main motivation for this remix was to add a section for storing my print and play version of the new “Châteauma” solo mode from the 2023 Special Edition of the game. This consists of an extra duchy board and nine cards, for which the files can be found here on BGG .
I also made some small tweaks based on how I store the game:
• I had to remove the storage for the ship, mine, and castle tiles to make room for the solo mode cards, but I store those in drawstring bags anyway, so those are moved to the bags area of the box
• I created two small trays for storing the tiles from the “inns” and “white castles” expansions, since I don't want to keep them mixed in with the rest of the tiles – these slot into the big tray that stores the player components and shields
• I added holes to the bottom of the bonus tiles tray to make it easier to get the small tiles out, and to reduce the material used
• I replaced the part that was previously used to store the bags with a new one that uses less material and without the posts in the middle, to make it easier to arrange the bags
I store the rulebooks in the languages I don't use under all the printed trays. Even with the addition of the extra duchy and the solo mode rules, there's no lid lift with this solution.
Sleeved cards should fit in the solo tray, as long as they're smaller than 92mm by 66mm.
Each file specifies how many to print.
