Storage solution for the board game Architects of the West Kingdom (see BGG page for more info) .
All of my inserts are designed with both storage and on-the-table experience in mind, so almost everything can be pulled right out of the box and ready for play. Some of the card decks require extra setup but after, the trays for each can go to their typical locations around the board. Only exception is the Corner Topper that goes above the player boxes and keeps the boards in place.
You will need 12 magnets (5x2mm) for each player box, and a total of 64 including the corner topper. The reason there's so many magnets needed is so the lids can flip around and store below each tray, as well as allowing them all to stack vertically without magnetic interference. Be careful when inserting magnets to make sure they are oriented correctly! If you have a magnet jig (for example ) treat the lid and bottom of the player tray as “top” and only treat the top of the player tray as “bottom”.
