Heat: Pedal to the Metal – Ultimate Insert v1.2
Fits 3 expansion with lid lidft or 2 expansiosn with No Lid Lift

This is an updated version of the insert, bringing improvements while keeping the core geometry unchanged , so if you’ve already printed v1.0 or 1.1, you don’t need to reprint everything (or anything at all, changes are cosmetic, or additive), but I recommend that you print the higher map spacer!

What to expect in v 1.3

Once I get my hands on Legends I'll re-assess the insert. I want to keep the map layer, and the car layer, so I see a couple of options moving forward:

• Redesign the bottom layer to accommodate all cards and components (optimistic, but would be nice)

• Keep the bottom layer as is, and make some side boxes (sideways, next to the maps) to store the new content

• A combination of 1 and 2, whatever feels most logical to me.

Feel free to share your ideas - I read every suggestion and genuinely take them into account.

I'm really happy with the car layer, so I'd prefer not to redo it - even though I could technically squeeze 3cm out of it (e.g., for horizontal trays). My gut says it'll end up feeling cramped rather than clean.

What's New in v1.2

• Rocky Roads support added. The cards fit medium sleeves (I use Arcane Tinmen), though you may need to be a little creative with how you stack.

• The extra compartment has been dropped to make room for the white Rocky Roads car and its cards.

• A higher corner spacer has been added, to support the new map (causing lid lift)

• With all three expansions, the extra Rocky Roads map will cause a small lid lift (equivalent to one map). You can also store it in an expansion box if you prefer a flat lid. My take is more space efficient.

• If you own 0-2 expansions, the freed-up space works well for storing extra tokens or other game accessories.

What’s New in v1.1

✅ Adaptive layer height – Smoother prints while keeping print times efficient.
✅ New color profile – Designed to match the HEAT color scheme for a cohesive look.
✅ HEAT stencils added to all components – A more thematic finish for the insert!

Print It However You Like

• Use my color profile to match the HEAT color scheme, with top layers

• Print the player trays in player colors for a personalized look.

• Or just go with plain grey or your favorite color — it still works just as well!

The following description remains the same as v1.0:
