DUNE Box Of Pain

I'm making the Box Of Pain from Dune as part of a commission. I will be post processing and painting it as well but thought I'd share the love and put the model and profile I made here too.

I decided to cut the box into 3 parts so none of the details of the box would be facing the print bed.

The 3 parts go together with small dowels (purely for lining the parts up). the box is meant to be glued together

Beware of warping

I don't own a filament dryer and live in a place with a cold climate so I added brims to the parts to counteract warping as that will leave small gaps at the connection planes. If that happens I usually just fill the gaps with wood filler and hand wear it a bit to make it look seamless. I also suggest leaving the prints to fully cool down on the plate before removing them. But your milage might vary.

This model is meant to be glued and post processed.
