Sky Team: Turbulence Penguin Tokens

These are penguin tokens for the Turbulence expansion of the board game Sky Team. Two token options are presented - a flat token, and then one with the penguin standing up. They are curious about that big bird coming down to politely greet them on the big runway, and so they must all stand up and get a better look! Maybe it has a fish...

Notes:

Both tokens were printed with filament swaps for the penguins - pearl white for the example of the flat token and regular white for the standing tokens. The standing tokens were printed penguin side up starting from the narrow angled base on the back. They were printed with a brim to help secure them to the print bed, along with support.

How I Designed This

A picture was taken of the cardboard penguin tokens that come with the game. The .JPG was altered to be a black and white image with Gimp, preserving the penguin outline, and then converted to an .SVG file using Inkscape. The tokens themselves were designed in Fusion 360 using the .SVG file to extrude the penguin shape. The final designs were exported as .STL files using MeshMixer.
