Portable Backgammon and Checkers Board

Portable Backgammon and Checkers Board that can be packed for your travels. Board is assembled into 2 halves that snap together using (Qty36) 8 x 2mm magnets for easy travel and secure game play.

You will need to print 2 each of the following:

Backgammon Board Lower.3mf
Backgammon Board Upper.3mf

Board Insert A.3mf
Board Insert B.3mf

And 4 each of the following:

BG End Panel Insert 199.5.3mf
BG Side Rail 309mm.3mf

And finally, 2 x 15 of the counters.

Printing:

I printed on a BambuLabs P1S with AMS. Supports will be needed. Based on using BambuStudio I recommend using Snug Support and painting them onto the parts where needed. This will include the side magnet holes, and side end over hangs amongst others. When Auto Support was used in Bambustudio it would add supports on the checker board for no apparent reason and this would impact the edge of the print.

I printed the main boards, checker side towards the bed and the inserts face down for best texture.

Assembly:

I assembled using Super Glue / CCA, to join the 2 main board pieces together, for the 2 halves of the board inserts and then to attach the paired up board inserts into the main board assemblies. The super glue was also used to secure the magnets. Make note to switch the direction the magnets are inserted between the 2 half assemblies so that they attract and not repel correctly.

The side rails I did not glue and are held in place by friction
