Yet Another Frosthaven Organizer
Please support TetsuBo by Liking/Boosting their Print on Printables.
I wanted to create an organizer for Frosthaven that was straight forward and easy to print, while replacing the things I did not like about the original storage and kept what was useful.
It's intended to be used with this monster deck and standee storage and four of these character boxes for the actively played characters.
If you print this and have any feedback, I would love to hear it!
My group has only just started our campaign at the time of writing, so not everything is unlocked. This may impact the needed size of certain storage compartments.
There may be very slight spoilers in the description, but nothing you would not have seen from unpacking the game and playing a few of scenarios.
Some of the photos are taken of earlier versions that have been refined, but maintain the same measurements so they should fit exactly the same.
• Only sleeve cards that are handled and shuffled a lot
• Store actively played characters in the linked character boxes
• Store characters not being currently played in their original tuck boxes and miniature boxes
• Reuse the original token tray as it does what we need and does it well enough
• Reuse the overlay tile tray as it's good enough. Not great, not terrible. ( I may attempt a design for this in the future)
• Everything (except dungeon tiles) should fit in the box. There is about 6mm of protrusion of the lid, which I think is acceptable.
• This also fits the Envelope X rewards character from Gloomhaven, as many probably got it with Frosthaven.
I've decided to only sleeve card that are handled a lot or shuffled often, based on playing through Gloomhaven. Sleeving some of the more numerous cards would take up too much space with little benefit.
Cards that are not sleeved are:
• Road events
• Outpost events
• Item cards ( you could sleeve items used by characters if you want )
• Building cards
• Dungeon randomiser cards
• Challenge cards
• Personal quests
Here is a list of different pieces, some details on how to order things inside of them and whether the cards are sleeved or not.
Layout viewed from the front, the large slots for town guard and battle goals should help with orientation. All cards except challenge cards and the navigation icon cards are sleeved.
Use the provided index cards for Completed Challenges and Available/Unavailable Town guard.
Locked cards with
navigation icon Bless Challege cards
Random loot item Player curse Town guard
Lumber loot Monster cure
Hide loot Player -1 cards
Metal loot Allies attack deck Battle goals
Herbal loot Monster attack deck
Coin loot
None of these cards are sleeved.
Use the provided index cards for Buildings, Road- and Outpost events.
Dungeon randomizer cards
(locked initially) Trashed cards
Buildings Personal quests
Summer Outpost events Winter Outpost events
Summer Road events WinterRoad events
None of these cards are sleeved. If you want the extra protection, you could sleeve them when a character acquires them.
Use the provided index cards for Available Purchasable and Craftable items.
Blueprints Solo quest rewards
Random items Craftable items
Purchasable items
All the cards here are sleeved.
There is an optional model with labels for the deck slots if you want to do a multimaterial print.
There is about 8x25mm space above the cards if you want to print a label or write on them.
Scout ability deck
Priest ability deck
Imp ability deck
Guard ability deck
Archer ability deck
Boss and player summon standees bases
Elite standee bases
Normal standee bases
Nothing particular about this one. It might see a redesign to get rid of the awkward shape.
These are to help keep the boxes for the miniatures in place.
The larger one goes in the bottom, and the one with the cutout on top of it.
Nothing particular about this one. It might get redesigned so the envelopes lie flat in a box instead.
This was a last minute addition and not really necessary. You can keep the XP/Health dials and the random bits and bobs that invariable appear in this one.
Maybe some pencils and erasers, idk.
Here's an overview of how the different components fit together inside of the box.
Scenario and Section book, solo scenarios, Campaign sheet and stickers go on the short side.
Map and rules go on the long side.
Minature boxes stacked on top of each other next to the character tuck boxes.
Monster cards and sleeves next to the Monster deck and standee storage
Token and overlay tile trays on top of the character tuck boxes
Envelopes laying on the side on top of the minature boxes.
Loot, combat and battle goal box on top of the smaller of the Monster deck storage (with the boss)
Four character boxes as well as standee and generic ability cards on top of the token tray.
XP/Health dials on top of the envelopes.
Road-, Outpost events and building on top of the Monster deck storage.
Item cards in the last remaining slot.
I also have this Element tracker that fits next to the items.
Now there should only be some smaller things like the “Town records” (haven't unlocked it yet) and the regular element tracker left. And removable stickers if you use those. that should easily fit on top.
Last, but not least, the gargantuan scenario flowcharts. Which will add the small 6mm protrusion because of the orientation of the map.
