Magnetic Settlers of Catan Tile Holders (holds the cardboard tiles)

6/26 Update: now that I got all printed out and put together, I realized the sea tiles are a slightly short (as pictured). They may need 0.2 to 0.5 mm each in width.

This is a remix of https://www.printables.com/model/214525-magnetic-hex-shells-for-settlers-of-catan That design had used 3x3 or 4x4 square magnets. The square magnets are a little expensive, so I resized the design. (also shaved 1mm off the height)

The tiles are size so that the Catan tiles and the magnets are snug, no glue required! The magnets required are round 4x2mm; you can get them off of AliExpress for cheap. They have a little hold, working together the tiles will stay mostly together during any table bumps (not table flip proof though).

In addition, since I have an older edition of Catan, I made 3x1 and 1x1 sea tiles.

100 magnets exactly will give you enough for 6 magnets in each of the 30 tiles (this includes the 5-6 Player expansion) and 2 magnets for each of the 3x1 (six) and 1x1 (four) sea tiles. I did include 5 additional holes, but hadn't personally used them, would take a little work with the polarity mapping, may or may not work. I may test this in the future, but I had only bought 100 magnets.
