Arydia map tile organizer

Hello!

I've put together 2 different versions of a map tile organizer for the board game Arydia: The Paths We Dare Tread . They not only hold the tiles upright but also add additional space so they can be easily flipped through. Neither were specifically designed to be stored in the box (although it may be possible to fit version 2 since it can be disassembled and lay flat). They make for much easier sorting when finding a specific tile. I'm sure there are better print settings but what I used/recommend is listed below. Version 1 is a solid, monolithic print . Version 2 is a hexagon wireframe , uses less filament, needs to be assembled after printing (no glue or additional components), and can be taken apart for storing. Version 1

• Printed on a Bambu A1

• PLA Matte Latte Brown

• 0.4 mm nozzle

• Wall generator: Arachne

• Brim type: Outer brim

• Brim width: 8

• 6:30 hours to print (1 bed)

• 344 grams of filament

• * Optional: If you feel so inclined, in your slicer settings you can cut some material off the top of the BIG section to make it flush with the LNG section (second tallest), saving some material and print time. It should have no adverse effects on usability.

Version 2

• BETA (I have NOT fully printed it, as I'm currently using version 1. I have only made a few test print pieces to confirm the interlocking system works correctly. If you fully print it I would love to see some photos in the comments!)

• PLA

• 0.6 mm nozzle

• 0.3 mm Standard layer profile

• Wall generator: Arachne

• Wall loops: 3

• Sparse infill density: 25%

• 6:45 hours to print (4 total beds)

• 245 grams of filament

• * Seam Position: Random (This is optional, although recommended, as it increases the print strength. You will need to manually set this, as I forgot to included it in the print profile)

Version 2 assembly:

Ideally, assembly should start with the back most plate (A) laying on the table. The tallest side panels (B and C) are each added, then the next large plate is attached (D), and so on. The bottom plate is added at the end, locking everything together. This process may be a bit fiddly, so fair warning!

Here are a couple of close ups to see the latching system. The panels with hooks are held at a 90 degree angle, the hook is inserted into the small hole, then the panel is rotated 90 degrees to lock things in place. Once you do the first couple, it should start to make sense! Note: The outer walls are flush to the bottom plate when completed. If they are not flush, you have a panel rotated incorrectly.

Instructions for the map tiles:

Rotate the "Inactive" dividers so they are pointing up for every map tile size except long. Rotate the map tiles so the name/number identifier is on the upper right side. I printed mine (in the photo) without a brim, which was a mistake lol. The version in the photo has a smaller BIG map slot. The version I have uploaded has a slightly wider BIG map slot so they fit better.
