HSW Modular Paint Rack
Please support Yozer by Liking/Boosting their Print on Printables.
My goal for this project is to design a hobby paint storage solution for the Honeycomb Storage Wall system that can hold many bottle shapes and sizes, while being modular and easy to print.
Each paint holder mounts to the same rail using tapered dovetails with the same 40.88mm spacing as the HSW. The rails attach to the storage wall using cap-head or countersunk m3 bolts and the default m3 inserts.
In my experience, the mounting rails print best wall side down and all the cups print bottoms flat on the build plate. No supports are required.
Each holder and known fitting paints (only tested with what I have on hand):
• 35mm Paint Cup (Mr Hobby, Tamiya 10ml)
• 40mm Paint Cup (23ml Tamiya)
• 32mm Square Paint Cup (Jumpwind standard size)
• 3x 25mm Paint Cup (Vallejo, Green Stuff World)
• 3x 25mm Square Paint Cup (Testors enamels)
• 3x 45mm Paint Cup (Mr Surfacer 40ml, Gaianotes Surfacer Evo)
• Spacer ring included for better fit with Gaia
• 4x 45mm Square Paint Cup (Mr Hobby decal solution, Mr Weathering Color, Tamiya panel liner, Tamiya cement)
• 2x 45mm Square and Circular Non-Tiling
• Same as respective holders above, but blocks adjacent slots
Update 5/1/24
• 31mm Paint Cup (Gaianotes 15ml colors)
I've included a .step file with all the designs for people to add more attachments, or just request in the comments.
