Detective: City of Angels All Expansions and Promos Insert (2026)

With the latest expansion release (Heists and Heartbreak) I wanted to fit it all into the core box. I saw some other inserts were available but none as of yet fit the latest expansion. This was a very quick project - might have taken me 45 min to an hour of work and should not take much filament at all. Due to the fact that with everything in the box - there is not much free space.

I do not sleeve my cards for this game - primary reason is that I have not much interest in doing head to head mode - (solo or co-op only) so the cards do not fit sleeved. (Sorry). I will be sure to post a diagram of how the cases boxes fit on the left side of the box ASAP. Some have to be stacked right side up, and some on their side, and some rotated at different angles.

If you are someone who uses the case sheets, its possible your stack will not be as high as mine and the standee tray may not lay flat as a result. I just make a photocopy on my printer before each game so those sheets never actually deplete.

Bottom line is that this is a no frills insert. Board goes on the bottom, cases to the left of the board, all paperwork stacked on top of the board (including the privacy screen). In the horizontal cavity beneath the paperwork - fit the trays according to the diagram, then on top of those trays set the standees, the chit tray and the 2 player board/question grid holders. (see photo). The cards go on top of some cases.

I debated even sharing this insert since it was pretty basic - but I figured it could help some people so why not. It makes my copy feel settled on the shelf =)
