manager Henk Jan and playwright Jaap have known each other for over 20 years. They met at the gaming society Rabenhaupt in Groningen. During this time they worked together among other on theater festivals, a game event 'Noorderspel' and an exhibition about the siege of Groningen in 1672. For 'Noorderspel' they developed in 2009 an approved gameboard for Settlers of Catan: `De drie Handelssteden van Nederland'. A year later they came up with their first cardgame 'SHOOT!' for the fan shop of premier league club FC Groningen. Since the autumn of 2012 their focus is on the full time design and development of games (www.spellenko.nl). CIRCUS! is their first game which is meant for the consumer market. They have contracted Eric Snelleman to illustrate the game. His style is characterized by its bright colors and specific humor (www.rode-egel.nl).
