In Too Deep Boardgame Elevated Board Tray

I'm really enjoying the In Too Deep boardgame, but my giant table mats overlap by a couple inches in the middle of the table, making it hard to lay the board perfectly flat with the seams.

Hence, this little elevated tray was made to keep the boards together and elevated by 5mm to avoid the seam of the mats. All 8 boards fit nicely in their spaces with minimal shifting.

You'll need 8 arms along with the center piece, and 16 struts in whatever shape you think you'll need. I used the rounded ones closer to the the center and long ones at the end to keep things more stable. I left a hole in the middle if you needed another support.

If you don't want it elevated at all, use the flat struts to make up the 1mm height gap in the arms.

I added an extra center topper to insert in case you wanted a nicer finish on the top like I did. It should just fit snug, but a couple drops of glue will keep it in there for good.

There will be an overhang at each of the openings, so you will need just a tiny support at the tip of each one.

2023-02-10 Update: V2 has an increased hub size of 131mm to better fit the boards as there was a tiny gap left with the previous version. If you've already printed the old one like I did, no worries! There's a tiny insert that takes only 2 perimeters to print, and fits around the old hub to fill that gap to make it just like V2. You can see the insert in the pics.

2023-02-22 Update: I've added threaded holes for the feet so we don't have to worry about tolerances and pressure fitting. Thes new arms are compatible with the V2 center.

Note: I'm not sure how manufacturing tolerances of the boards are across the Kickstarter editions and retail versions, but I think they're pretty consistent. I've made them as close to spec for my boards, but you may need to adjust the arm by a millimetre or so to accommodate your boards. I've chamfered the inner piece so you can easily sand or trim off a bit if needed.
